What we love most about you, Mum

Once again, we’re blessed with the annual day in our calendar that celebrates the best woman in the world, the one that loved us unconditionally from before we even took our first breath. Warm hugs, homemade food, a word of encouragement and the knowing that no matter what, she’ll always be there for you: Mum.

Mothers-DayMothers have so much love to give but hardly ask for much in return. So, we thought that the least we could do was to tell our mothers exactly what it is that we love best about them! We asked a few people and most had to think for a second or two because really, there are so many things that we appreciate about our mothers that it’s often difficult to put into words.

Here are some of the answers:

“What I love most about my mom is that she’s so easy to talk to; I love how she makes an effort to relate to whatever I’m speaking about.”

“Definitely my Mom’s cooking! No one can beat her delicious dishes.”

“I love everything about my mother, but even more so because I haven’t seen her in months.”

“My mom is the best; she’d do anything for me. I’m quite sure she’d even lie for me if I got into trouble!”

“My mum gives the best, biggest hugs!”’

“My mom and I aren’t very close…but what’s great about that is that we make our relationship work.”

Not everyone has the same kind of relationship with their mother, but it doesn’t really matter, does it? You love her, she loves you, and whether she tells you this every day or once a year, you both know how you feel about each other and that nobody else could ever take the other’s place. And let’s not forget, no one gets the family together like your mother does, right?

How about a Perdeberg Soft Smooth Red wine for mom this Mother’s Day? Available online or in local shops.

Mmm…big family get-togethers are what makes Mum’s home the best place to be. And nothing beats a family meal that was made with so much love that the chicken and potatoes were slightly overcooked, and the bottle of wine for the adults almost (but not quite!) spilling all over the table. What matters most is that when Mum calls, it’s guaranteed that the family will be there.

Thanks Mum for all the wonderful family times together and for always being an inspiration to us all!
